2007-08 grade level
supply lists
Listed below are the common supplies
needed for each grade level. With the August placement
letter, parents will receive this list as well as
information about any additional items that your child's
teacher may request. Please note that this is only the basic
list of supplies.

Kindergarten |

A large backpack
with kindergartener’s name written on it

One package of
fat washable markers and one package of thin washable
markers (we find that Crayola works best)

One 4 oz. bottle
of white glue

crayons

Five glue sticks
(we’ll take more, if you’ve got them)

One pair of
scissors (Fiskars for children seem to be the very best.
If you label them with a permanent marker they will be
returned in June)

folder with kindergartener’s name written on the front
(to bring to and from school)

One or two dry
erase markers

One small,
quick, and healthy snack each day, including a beverage
(no glass containers, please)

- Two packages of Pencils
(sharpened)
- A Box of 24 crayons
- A Box of Classic-colored
markers
- Scissors (with your name)
- A bottle of Glue
- Four large glue sticks
- Four packs Post It notes (2
7/8 X 2 7/8 inch) any color
- A pencil box for supplies
(small enough to fit in desk)
- Two pocket folders (please not
a Trapper Keeper – they are too big)
- A backpack (no wheels please –
they are difficult to fit in lockers)
- One box of tissues
- A smock to wear to art
- A one-inch plain binder (with
rings)
- A healthy, daily snack
- One big pink eraser
- $4.20 for a Weekly Reader
subscription (check made out to Weekly Reader)

Grade 2 |
- Supply of #2 sharpened pencils
- A box of crayons (no more than
24 count)
- A box of thin markers (Crayola
8 or 12 pk)
- Colored Pencils (8 or 12 pk)
- Eraser
- 2 to 4 glue sticks
- Scissors (Fiskar or other good
quality)
- Supply box to hold everything
- 1 Pocket folder (daily folder)
- 4 Pocket folders (twin pocket
folders with fasteners, 4 colors)
- 2 Composition books (marble)
- 1 Box of tissues
- 1 Dry eraser marker (black)
- Smock or old shirt for Art
class
- Small container filled with: 4
quarters, 5 dimes, 5 nickels, 5 pennies
- $4.50 for National geographic

- 1 marble composition notebook

- A package of 4 X 6 index cards
- Colored Pencils
- A small box of crayons and/or
markers
- 24 pencils with erasers (no
mechanical pencils)
- A separate large eraser
- A supply of white lined paper
- A package of square 2 X 2
post-it notes
- 2 glue sticks
- 1 highlighter
- Scissors
- A full sized metric ruler
- A sturdy folder with pockets
- 2 boxes of tissues
- 4 marble composition notebooks
