Altamont Elementary School to present "Willy Wonka, Jr."
Jan. 23, 2012—Altamont
Elementary School announces its spring musical production of WILLY WONKA Jr.,
to be performed on May 18 and 19, 2012 at 7 p.m. The production will feature
the onstage and backstage talents of the entire fifth grade and will be
directed by Mr. Robert Whiteman, fifth grade teacher, and Ms. Starr Norman,
music and chorus teacher.
This year marks the 40th Anniversary of
the classic movie Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, starring Gene Wilder. The show
to be performed by our students follows the same plot and
uses the same music. Both the movie and stage musical are originally based
on CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY by perennial children's favorite Roald
Dahl.

February break.
