"Children
are
like
kites.
You
spend
a
lifetime
trying
to
get
them
off
the
ground.
You
run
with
them
until
you're
breathless…they
crash…you
add
a
longer
tail…they
hit
the
rooftop…you
pluck
them
out
of
the
spout…you
patch
and
comfort,
adjust
and
teach.
You
watch
them
lifted
by
the
wind
and
assure
them
that
someday
they
will
fly."
The
goal
of
Guilderland
Educational
Support
Programs
is
to
provide
appropriate
educational
opportunities
for
students
with
special
needs
on
a
continuum
of
service
levels
and
within
the
least
restrictive
environment
possible.
In
addition,
we
are
committed
to
encouraging
the
highest
level
of
academic,
social,
physical
and
vocational
development
for
every
student
in
the
district.
