Guilderland Central School District Job openings

Employee Assistance program

WHAT: The EAP is a benefit provided by the Guilderland School District to help employees and their families who are facing a problem in their lives. It is designed to assist with marital, financial, personal, relationship, legal, alcohol, drug or any other concerns.

WHO: All Guilderland employees and their dependents can use the EAP service.

WHY: The Guilderland School District recognizes the value of good employees. Through the EAP, the district hopes employees will be able to resolve problems that intrude on their work or in their life. People are the most important asset an organization has, and getting help is important to all of us for your future.

HOW: People with drug, alcohol, emotional, marital, family or other problems will receive help for a Human Resource Associates (HRA) counselor. HRA is a professional counseling agency with more than 20 years of EAP service to employers in the Capital District. Its office is at 105 South Lake Avenue, Albany. There is no charge for a consultation. Once a counselor has made a diagnosis of the problem, he/she may refer you for further treatment or counseling. At that point, the employee is responsible for any costs not covered under his/her health insurance plan. HRA works closely with all insurance providers for easy referral transitions.

CONFIDENTIALITY: No records or information about an employee’s personal problems will be placed in his/her file. All services are confidential.

FOR MORE INFORMATION: Call HRA and speak with any of the professional staff at 434-1799. All services are by appointment.
