If you’re a history buff, you could probably spend days glued to this site. Highlights include sections of primary source documents, vital statistics about all nations, “history maker” biographies, and year-by-year information for every year in the 20th century.

National Archives and Records Administration

For primary source documents, this is the place. Be sure to visit the “Online Exhibit Hall.”

Ben’s Guide to U.S. Government for Kids

This is a very easy site to navigate, providing grade-appropriate information about aspects of U.S. government. The section for parents and teachers has links to government sites for kids and other curriculum resources.

Black History

Black History Month

Site containing activities for teachers to use with students during Black History Month. Click on the Free Resources link, then Black History. They also have resources on Hispanic Heritage and Women’s History. The Black History page has links to more than 70 biographies of famous blacks, as well as, a timeline of history and links to other related sites.
