the
bus
is
late
A
past
district
study
indicated
that
most
buses
are
late
for
five
reasons:

Traffic
delays
-
Weather
delays/road
conditions
-
Delays
caused
by
waiting
for
children
-
Delays
caused
by
substitute
drivers
unfamiliar
with
a
route
-
Delays
caused
by
mechanical
problems
Please
do
not
call
the
Transportation
Office
unless
the
bus
is
more
than
10
minutes
late.
In
order
to
shorten
transportation
time
for
students
and
make
sure
buses
keep
on
schedule,
students
should
wait
outside
at
the
bus
stop
five
minutes
before
their
bus
is
supposed
to
arrive.
A
one-minute
delay
at
20
stops
adds
20
minutes
onto
a
bus
ride!
On
days
of
inclement
weather,
parents
and
students
should
listen
to
the
radio
or
watch
the
TV
for
delay
announcements.
