Tri-M Music Honor Society

Advisor
Kathleen Ehlinger

The Tri-M Music Honor Society is the international music honor society for High School Students. It is designed to recognize students for their academic and musical achievements, reward them for their accomplishments and service activities, and to inspire other students to excel at music and leadership. Through more than 4,500 chartered chapters, Tri-M has helped thousands of young people provide years of service through music in schools throughout the world. The society is operated by MENC. (The National Association for Music Education)

About Guilderland's chapter:

Guilderland's chapter of the Tri-M Honor Society began in the 2009-10 school year. The primary goals of the society are to foster greater interest in the overall music program as well as to provide more opportunities for personal musical growth and expression. A leadership team of music students plays an integral in the success of a music program.

Members will meet approximately once a month at the director’s discretion. Meeting will be held in the GHS music suite during activity period. The first meeting is mandatory for those accepted into the program.

If you are an organized, hardworking and motivated individual who is passionate about music, we invite you to consider being a part of the Tri-M organization.  We look forward to welcoming new members. Interested students are encouraged to complete the application and submit it as requested. Those who are accepted are required to perform at the induction ceremony, attend one after school meeting a month and be able to fulfill one activity per quartera total of four per year.
