Community volunteers sought to serve on district Facilities Committee

The Guilderland Central School District is presently seeking interested community representatives to serve on a district Facilities Committee. The Facilities Committee will be comprised of Board of Education members, district staff, and administrators in addition to community representatives, and will be assisted by the architectural firm of CSArch.

The Facilities Committee will meet for the purpose of presenting to the Board of Education a report with recommendations to address short and long-term facilities improvements. Discussions will emphasize but not be limited to the infrastructure needs of the seven school buildings and the maintenance and transportation facilities, instructional technology, and health, safety and security.

The Committee is expected to meet twice a month from mid-February 2018 through June 2018 from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. We are seeking three parent/community representatives who would be willing to commit to serve on the committee through the creation and issuance of the final report.

Interested community members should send a letter of interest by January 10, 2018 to:
Christine Hayes, Board of Education President
