Application procedures for instructional positions
Guilderland Central School District posts instructional vacancies on both the district Web site's Job Openings page and on OLAS. Please do not send in an application into the district unless it is in response to an advertised vacancy. Please review the procedures for prospective teacher candidates and other certified personnel below.
Step 1: Obtain an application
If you have not already done so, please download an application for
employment:
• Instructional application (PDF)
If you are unable to download an application, you may request one to be sent to you via US mail or e-mail. To do so, contact the Office of Human Resources or call 518-456-6200, ext. 3117.
Step 2: Provide credentials
To be considered for employment as a teacher in the Guilderland Central
School District, the following documents MUST accompany the
application:
• A resume and;
• Copy of college/university transcript(s) and;
• Copy of New York state (or other state) certification(s) or TEACH printout and;
• A minimum of two professional references and/or college placement credentials folder.
Please note: College placement credentials are not only acceptable, they are preferred. Please forward credentials to the Office of Human Resources. Unofficial copies of college transcripts are acceptable, but official copies are required before employment.
All application materials, excluding the Guilderland Central School District application, need to be submitted via the Online Application System (OLAS).
Step 3: Mail

Step 4: Interview procedures
Your application/letter/resume will be reviewed by our principals and/or
supervisors. Should they decide to call you for an interview, you will be
contacted.
