We need to hear from you!
Third Community Conversation set for February 7
Jan. 19, 2012—Since late October, nearly 100 school community members have spent time learning about the many challenges currently facing our school district as participants in our Community Conversation events. From economic and regulatory issues, including the new property tax levy cap, to areas of potential change in 2012-13, these individuals have raised excellent questions and provided incredibly useful feedback for district leaders. Visit the School Budget News home page to learn more about these events
However, with just over three months to go until the
Board of Education is scheduled to adopt a budget for the upcoming school
year, there is still much more work to be done. As the district struggles with the
difficult and important choices ahead, we need to hear from you!
Please plan to join us on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 for our third Community
Conversation. The event, which is open to all district residents and school
community members, will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Guilderland High
School LGI and will feature a brief presentation on the current state of the
district followed by small group work sessions related to a list of
potential changes for the upcoming school year.
We hope that you will be able to join us and would request that you kindly R.S.V.P. either via phone, 456-6200, ext. 3102, or e-mail: supergcsd@guilderlandschools.org. You may also simply complete the sign-up form below:
