Danielle
Poirier named Transportation Supervisor
Feb. 23, 2012—At its meeting on February 14, the
Guilderland Central School District Board of Education approved the
appointment of Danielle Poirier to the position of transportation
supervisor. Poirier will be succeeding Christine Sagendorf, who retired from
the district last month.
Poirier comes to Guilderland after serving as the transportation supervisor
for the Averill Park Central School District, a position she has held for
the past 4 years. Prior to that, she served for nine years as a bus driver
and driver trainer with the Schodack Central School District.
Poirier is a member of several professional organizations, including the
New York Association for Pupil Transportation (NYAPT) and the Capital Area
School Development Association (CASDA). She is also a certified school bus
driver instructor and Article 19-A trainer.
“We are very pleased to have Danielle join our administrative team,” said
Assistant Superintendent for Business Neil Sanders. “Her experience and
knowledge of the transportation field, coupled with her dedication to
students, makes her a valued addition to the district.”
Poirier will officially begin her duties on March 5.
