GCSD celebrates School-Related Professionals Day
November 15, 2011—The following letter from Superintendent of School Dr. Marie Wiles was shared with all Guilderland Central School District employees and community members in recognition of School-Related Professionals Day:
Today is New York State School-Related Professionals’
Recognition Day! I would like to be among those who personally thank you for
the critical role you play in the fulfillment of the mission of the
Guilderland Central School District to “inspire all students to be active
life-long learners, able to achieve their highest potential in a demanding
and ever-changing global community.”
Our mission depends on teamwork. This annual statewide event provides the
perfect opportunity to express our appreciation to our SRP team: our bus
drivers, clerical and secretarial staff, custodial, maintenance and
buildings and grounds workers, our food service staff, teaching assistants,
aides and monitors. Each of you, individually and collectively, has the
power to make a real, tangible difference in lives of our students to make
sure that students have the tools they need to succeed in school.
So on this special day, please accept my heartfelt thanks and appreciation
for your hard work, knowledge, skill and commitment to the Guilderland
Central School District. You make our school community a better place for
our students, families and colleagues.
Sincerely,
Marie Wiles, Ph.D.
