Elementary placement information for 2014-15 school year

July 24, 2014—Please be advised that placement information for the 2014-15 school year will be mailed home to all elementary parents on August 11, along with a list of school supplies for your child’s grade level.

New in 2014-15: Beginning this school year, placement information will also be available on the district’s SchoolTool Parent & Student Portal. Parents can access their child’s placement information on the portal beginning August 8. Please take a few moments in advance of the release of the placement information to make sure that you can access your account by logging into the portal.

Don’t have a SchoolTool Parent & Student Portal account? Please be sure to create one prior to the start of the new school year. New users should contact Kim TenEyck at 456-6200, ext. 3123 to create an account. You will need to submit a valid e-mail address to keep on file for the purpose of creating your account. User assistance is available weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In addition to housing placement information, the district’s SchoolTool Parent & Student Portal also provides parents with detailed access to student attendance, assignments, grades, and scheduling.

It is also important to note that beginning in 2014-15, Guilderland Central School District will be transitioning to a paperless report card system for all students, grades K-12. Report cards will no longer be sent or mailed home; instead, parents will be able to access and review their child’s report card online via the district’s SchoolTool Parent and Student Portal.

Visit the SchoolTool Parent & Student Portal home page to learn more.
