More than 800 books collected for Project: Cameron’s Story

Feb. 26, 2016—The Guilderland community has generously donated more than 800 books to support Project: Cameron's Story, a not-for-profit organization that collects new children's books for families of babies in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at more than a dozen hospitals in the Capital Region and throughout the state.

A total of 820 books were collected at four schools throughout the school district. These were included among the 14,842 books collected in the region which will be distributed to the hospitals to help parents bond with their premature infants through children’s literature and storytelling.

Hospitals receiving the books include Albany Medical Center, St. Peter's Hospital, Crouse Hospital, Stony Brook University Hospital, Golisano Children's Hospital, UHS Wilson Medical Center, and Glens Falls Special Care Unit.

To learn more about the organization, please visit Project: Cameron's Story Facebook Page or the organization's OFFICIAL WEBSITE.

Thank you to everyone who donated books to Project: Cameron's Story!
