Camp Invention to return to GCSD Summer 2017

Dec. 20, 2016—In partnership with Invent Now, Guilderland Central School District is proud to once again offer the nationally-acclaimed Camp Invention program this summer from August 7-11, 2017 at Pine Bush Elementary School.

The week-long adventure is open to children through grade six, and new this year, will be offered to children in kindergarten. Camp Invention is a program where students learn science, technology, engineering and math in a weeklong experience that taps into the spirit of innovation.

Katie Matthews, a mathematics teacher at Farnsworth Middle School, will be taking over as the program’s director.

"After teaching at Camp Invention for the last two years, I am so excited to continue on as the new director. I look forward to another Camp Invention Week filled with learning, innovation, creativity and fun,” said Matthews.
