Special transportation requests
Please follow the information listed below to submit changes to your child's pick-up and/or drop off locations:.
Permanent changes
Please submit all permanent changes in your child’s pick-up and/or drop-off
locations in writing to your child’s school directly. You must complete and
submit an Alternate
Transportation form (PDF). In addition to being online, this form
is available at all Guilderland schools.
Changes for a day
If your child has a change in pick-up and/or drop-off locations for one day
in particular, parents/guardians must submit a note to the child's
teacher and a bus pass will be issued accordingly.
Requests for transportation to non-public schools
Guilderland will honor requests for transportation to private and parochial
schools provided requests are made no later than April 1 of the preceding
school year. New district residents have 30 days to submit
transportation requests.
Parents/guardians may make arrangements for transportation of children who attend private/parochial school by submitting two copies of the request form to non-public schools directly to the Guilderland Transportation Office.

Daycare
Guilderland will provide students with transportation to and from a licensed
daycare and/or babysitter throughout the school week.
Students are permitted no more than two different drop-offs a week at
unlicensed sites (i.e. relative's home) within their elementary zone.
Students seeking transportation outside of their elementary zone may only be
accommodated if attending a New York State licensed day care center.
The district will honor requests for daycare transportation provided they
are made no later than April 1 of the preceding school year.
