I have an assignment...WHAT SHOULD I DO??

Try asking yourself these questions:

1. What is the assignment?

  • Say it in your own words.

2. What am I supposed to do?

  • What does the final product look like?

3. What is my plan?

  • Ask yourself: How much time do I have? Where will I work? What materials do I need?

  • Predict: What could go wrong?

4. Am I using my plan?

  • As you do the assignment, keep checking your plan.

5. How did I do?

  • What worked?

  • What didn't work?

  • What would you do differently next time?

Final question: Where will I put it when it's finished?

Make schoolwork a priority in your home.  The parent and teacher working as a team will lead to greater success in school for your child.
