1.
Say what I hear...use sequence words (first,
second, next, last)
2.
Ask the teacher to break the direction into steps
"Tell
me the first two parts."

Ask the teacher to repeat the directions more slowly

Use body language to act out the directions

Get a picture in my mind of what it would look like to
follow the directions

Use self-talk. Repeat the directions quietly to myself
