Committee
Minutes: February 4, 2005

We have received our check for
Onestopschoolshop from the summer purchases. We
discussed the new company schoolpop. They have
bought the onestopschoolshop company. Charlie will
get information to review at our March meeting.
Concerns were raised that the cost of some items is
high. Parents have also voiced concerns about the
amount of supplies needed.
3.
Susan arranged the Study Skills display in the
Learning Center. Judy Carnavos will work with Mary
Jeanne to get new titles for parents and teachers to
borrow. These include helping children with homework,
preparing for tests, etc. If any staff knows of good,
proven-to-be-helpful resources, e-mail Judy Carnavos
and we will discuss purchasing them. Sheila has
agreed to include our titles in the next Learning
Center newsletter.
4.
We have not received any new applications from
teachers for $15 for study skills purchases.
The pink applications are in the house offices.
Four teachers have been approved so far. Please
consider applying if you have found something that
would help your students organize.
5.
A-pad: We discussed adding study skills tips and
material related to helping students (organize and
study). Last year we added test-taking tips and other
organizational suggestions. Judy will e-mail staff for
ideas. This will need to be given to Amy Tubbs in the
spring.

meeting is Friday, March 11 at 8 am in MOCR. Hope to
