Life,

                        Changing life

The past-the present

                                    Making the future happen

I am confused at times

I wonder where life will

            Take me

I see the world around me

I see the hatred from those who look

                                                            Down on us

I see hatred lead to events

                        Which were tragedies

I see buildings crashing and

Burning

I see people screaming, jumping

  To death

I see a wave of change crashing down

I see hardships overseas

And the privileges that we have

I see people, ignorant people

I see the world changing so fast

Changing in the blink

                                    of an eye

I know what I’m doing

Whether right or wrong,

I know.

I know my mistakes

                                    And stupidity

I know how to change

But I don’t.

I know the world holds so many

     Possibilities

                                                I know life is a journey

I know my own life is in my hands

     And I choose who I am.

I hope for the future

            For those around me

I want the best

But see the worst

I fear who I am

I fear who you are

I fear who I may become

I feel strong

And loved

But feelings change

I feel worried where things

    May go

Where actions may lead

But I know

That soon I will

Feel free

        Without shackles

Away from the pain

For now I want time

     And I see hope.
