War
In every war men die, Children cry, Wives sigh, The government lies.
In every war the victors have fun, The victims run, Clouds hide the sun, Battles are not easily won.
In every war we label the natives lazy, The media obscures events turning them hazy, Other country’s citizens think we’re all crazy, And casualties grow quickly like melancholy daisies.
Is every war truly the same? That would make history awfully mundane. Is every war so bad… Does every war make us so sad and mad?
