Tulum--The Walled City

Tulum is an ancient Mayan site located on the
beautiful Caribbean coast in Mexico.
During the years from 900 to 1500 a.d.,
this
city was an important Mayan seaport.
There are many theories about why Tulum
and other Mayan cities were abandoned.
The descendents of the ancient
Maya live on in Latin America today.
