How to prepare for the INTEGRATED ALGEBRA REGENTS EXAM

MATH IS NOT A SPECTATOR SPORT!

You must be able to SHOW what you have done, in order to be studying.

This means – grab a pencil & some paper, a calculator, and GET TO WORK!

Here are some suggestions to make your studying PRODUCTIVE!

 

Using the computer:

a.       Go on-line www.ny.algebra1.com

                                                               i.      Complete the SELF CHECK QUIZZES

                                                             ii.      Complete the CHAPTER TESTS

                                                            iii.      Complete the STANDARDIZED TEST PRACTICE

                                                           iv.      Try the PARENT AND STUDENT STUDY GUIDE

                              (they are loaded with lots of practice problems and an answer key is included at the bottom of each page

                                                           v.      Watch a few of the BRAIN POPS

                                                           vi.      Try the VOCABULARY REVIEW

b.      Go on-line to www.regentsprep.org    Click on the ALGEBRA link.

                                                               i.            Go through the outline that is listed for the course.

            L - stands for lesson ideas – read through as a refresher

            P - stands for practice – try some of these!

                                                             ii.            Scroll down the Algebra page and find the REGENTS PRACTICE TESTS  

   TRY ONE!  Interactive or print it out!  

c.       Go on-line to www.jmap.org

You will find ALL of the Math A & B Regents exam questions that have previously appeared on an exam. 

Only attempt questions that we have covered!!!
