GHS students honored with Physical Education Leadership Awards
Jan. 24, 2012—The
physical education department is proud to announce that two Guilderland High
School seniors were recently selected for the NYS AHPERD (New York State
Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance) Capital
Zone Secondary Leadership Award in Physical Education.
Congratulations to Brianna Phillips and Alex Gaines, who will each be
presented with a commemorative plaque recognizing this exciting achievement
during an awards ceremony
to be held on February 5, 2012 at the Century House in Latham.
Students are selected for this honor based on their level of physical
performance in physical education, scholastic achievement, exceptional
leadership qualities, and outstanding service
to the school and/or community.
