PM School

What is PM School?

PM School is an opportunity for high school students to receive academic assistance in the evening to work on missed school assignments due to a suspension or medical situation that prevents them from attending the regular school day. Students are referred to the program, which operates Monday through Friday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Pine Bush Elementary School (3437 Carman Rd. Schenectady). The PM staff of teachers with secondary certification provide academic support and instruction on assignments provided by the students’ regular classroom teacher. They also provide instruction relating to the content material that students miss. Please note: Though held off-site, PM School is a high school program taught by high school staff members.

What does the PM Schedule look like?

The core courses that are offered through PM School are science, math, English and social studies, with foreign language offered on an as needed basis. PM school operates under the district calendar and closes when there are regular school closings due to weather or other unforeseen events that are announced by the district.
