Fifth grade visit to FMS set for March 12
On Wednesday, March 12, all fifth grade students will be dismissed at approximately 11:30 a.m. from their elementary school. They will be transported by school bus to Farnsworth Middle School in order to experience a modified sixth grade schedule. At 3:20 p.m., all fifth grade students will be escorted to their appropriate FMS bus (students will have their FMS bus route information before they come to the middle school). Fifth graders will be assigned to the front rows of the bus. We believe riding a FMS bus home is an important part of the transition to middle school. Therefore, we encourage all visiting fifth graders to ride the school bus home. Buses typically leave FMS at 3:35 p.m. and students should arrive home before 4:15 p.m. Any early dismissal notes or change of PM bus destinations should be completed at the elementary school prior to this day. Questions? Please contact your child's building principal.

Student Contact and Medical Information Verification/Update Form
Each year, the Guilderland Central School District requests of all parents their most current and accurate contact information, as well as critical medical information pertaining to their child(ren). In past years, the district sent home hard copies of student health cards for verification and completion by parents. For the 2013-14 school year and beyond, we are now asking parents to make full use of our online systems for this verification process. Learn more This information is extremely important, as our ability to appropriately respond to student medical concerns and to maintain timely communications with parents is dependent on this verification process. Please take a few moments to verify and/or update your child's information as soon as possible.
