School supply lists for the 2017-18 school year

July 2017—Listed are the common supplies needed for each grade level. With the August placement letter, parents will receive this list and information about any additional items that your child's teacher may request. Please note that this is only the basic list of supplies.

Kindergarten
1 – backpack
4 – two-pocket folders (1 red, 1 yellow, 1 blue and 1 of your choice)
2 boxes of thick markers
2 boxes of pencils (Ticonderoga brand is preferred)
2 boxes of crayons (24 count)
glue sticks
2 boxes of Kleenex
2 boxes (or refills) of baby wipes
Art smock – the most effective and easiest to put on is an adult’s old shirt!

Grade 1
Smock (oversized t-shirt works best)
4 plain colored folders: 1 green, 1 blue, 1 red, 1 yellow (pockets on the bottom)
1 take-home folder of your choice
1 regular –size pencil box 8” x 5” (no large ones; they won't fit in the desks)
24 count twistable crayons
Colored pencils (12 colors or less)
1 box of thin markers (8-color pack)
1 regular-sized backpack that will hold a folder and a lunch box. Roller backpacks do not allow the lockers to close.
Community Supplies: (These will be collected)

2 boxes of Kleenex
  -
 1 box yellow pencils (Ticonderoga brand)
  -  Zip-Lock bags as follows:
Gallon – Mrs. Barney-Sischo’s class; Quart – Mrs. Fargnoli’s class; Sandwich – Miss McManaman’s class; Snack – Mrs. Rubin’s class
*Additional supplies may be requested by individual teachers in August.

Grade 2
2 dozen Ticonderoga pencils (please sharpen)
24 count crayons
10 pack thin markers
4 glue sticks (please remove from packaging)
1 pair of Fiskars scissors (please remove from packaging and put child’s name in marker on the scissors)
Small pencil box (approximately 6 x 8 inches, no bigger – put your child’s name in marker on the pencil box)
3 PLASTIC bottom pocket folders (1 red, 1 yellow, 1 blue)
1 PLASTIC bottom pocket folder with 3 prongs (green)
2 marble composition notebooks
1 pair of headphones (no ear buds, please)
(Please remove from packaging and put child’s name in marker on the headphones)
1 box of tissues
1 container of disinfecting wipes
Smock or old shirt for art class
Girls: 1 box of gallon size ziplock bags
Boys: 1 box of quart size ziplock bags

Grade 3

24 pack of sharpened Ticonderoga pencils
1 box of cap erasers
1 box of markers
1 box of 12-24 colored pencils
1 yellow highlighter
Scissors- Fiskar or other good quality
Supply box – large enough to fit supplies/small enough to fit in a desk
2 marble composition books
1 box of tissues
1 box of Ziploc sandwich bags (girls only)
1 box of Ziploc gallon sized storage bags (boys only)
Earbuds or headphones – 1 good quality pair
1 sturdy folder for taking home daily (plastic is most durable)
1 yellow two-pocket folder
1 green two-pocket folder
*Please have the folders, scissors and earbuds labeled with your child’s name on them. We will hold labeled supplies that do not fit in the box. Thank you!

Grade 4
Individual teacher supply lists will be included with the teacher placement letters that will be mailed home in August.

Grade 5
1 large boxes of tissues
1 marble composition notebook
2 pocket folders
2 single subject spiral notebooks
#2 pencils,
Highlighters
Small pencil box/bag
2 packages of 3x3 Post-It notes
Large (or X-large) plain, white t-shirt for tie-dying
$3 for pre-purchased assignment note book
Spiral bound sketch book for art class (approx. size 9 x 11)
