AES 2018-19 Supply Lists

Want to get a jump-start on back-to-school supplies?

Gr. 1 | Gr. 2 | Gr. 3 | Gr. 4 | Gr. 5

Kindergarten

  • Large backpack (labeled with child’s name)
  • (1) package of Fat Washable Markers (Crayola seem to work best)
  • (4)  skinny dry erase markers
  • (1) package of 24 crayons (Crayola seem to work best)
  • (1) “Take Home Folder” (labeled with child’s name; plastic folders last the longest)
  • (1) pocket folder (with three prongs) to use for Writing Workshop
  • (1) smock (an old, large adult button up shirt works well)
  • (1) box of tissues
  • Headphones labeled with child’s name (to be kept in the classroom for iPad use)
  • (1) glue bottle
  • (4) glue sticks
    • If your child’s first name starts with the letters A-I, please send in a box of quart size Ziploc bags and disinfecting wipes.
    • If your child’s first name starts with the letters J-Z, please send in a box of sandwich size Ziploc bags and baby wipes.

Notes: Please send your child to school with a small healthy snack every day. We strongly encourage that the kids bring reusable water bottles every day as well. They will definitely use them throughout the day.  Also, in an effort to build community, markers, crayons and glue will go into classroom containers to be shared throughout the year.

Grade 1

  • (2-3) packages of Pencils (“Ticonderoga” and sharpened)
  • (1) box of 24 Crayons (labeled with child’s name)
  • (1) box of classic-colored markers (labeled with child’s name)
  • Scissors (labeled with child’s name)
  • (6-8) glue sticks
  • (1) pencil box for supplies (not oversized)
  • (1) pocket folder (used as a “take home” folder)
  • Backpack (no wheels please-they are difficult to fit in lockers)
  • (2) boxes of tissues
  • Smock to wear to art (labeled with child’s name)
  • A healthy, daily snack and drink
  • (1) three pack of Sticky Notes
  • (1) marble composition notebook (labeled with child’s name)
  • (2) dry erase markers (any color)
  • (1) box of Dixie cups (small 3 oz.)
  • (1) plastic container of disinfecting wipes

Notes: On the first day of school, please bring in your favorite book to share with the class. We may not be reading all of it, but you will show it to your classmates.

We may need to replenish supplies as the year progresses. Thank you for your cooperation. Have a wonderful summer and we will see you soon!

Grade 2

  • (24) #2 sharpened pencils (Ticonderoga or USA Gold preferably) – to be shared by the class
  • (1) box of crayons (no more than 24 count)
  • (2) boxes of thin markers (Crayola 8 or 12 pack)
  • Colored pencils (8 or 12 pack, sharpened)
  • (8) glue sticks
  • Scissors (labeled with child’s name)
  • Supply box to hold crayons, colored pencils, etc.
  • (1) plastic pocket folder (daily folder)
  • (4) pocket folders (1 blue, 1 green, 1 red, 1 yellow)
  • (4) packs Post-its (3 X 3 size, any color)
  • (2) large Pink Pearl erasers
  • (2) marble notebooks
  • (1) box of Kleenex
  • Smock or old shirt for art class
  • Headphones (please find headphones that have a straight connector)
    • Please label the following: folders, smocks, marble notebook

Grade 3

  • Sturdy Take Home folder
  • (1) one-inch white binder with clear front pocket
  • (2) pocket folders – (red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple)
  • (2) marble composition notebooks (wide ruled)
  • Pencils – two boxes of Ticonderoga pencils
  • Post-it notes (2 x 3)
  • Colored pencils
  • Crayons
  • (1) glue stick
  • Ear buds
  • (1) box of tissues
  • Art smock

Grade 4

  • (4) pocket folders (red, blue, green, yellow)
  • Colored pencils
  • Small box of crayons and/or markers
  • (4) boxes Ticonderoga #2 pencils with erasers (no mechanical pencils or foil wrapped as they do not sharpen well)
  • (4) separate large erasers or package of erasers that fit on top of pencils
  • (4-6) packages of square 3 x 3 Post-it notes
  • (3) glue sticks and (1) liquid glue
  • (1) highlighter
  • Scissors
  • A full-sized metric ruler (please not bendable)
  • sturdy take home folder with 3-hold punch and pockets
  • (2) boxes of tissues (thank you in advance)
  • (4) marble composition notebooks (Math, Social Studies/Science, Reading, Word Study)
  • (1 )2-inch, 3 ring binder
  • Earbuds/headphones (a must)
  • Smock for art
  • Sneakers for Physical Education

Notes: No Trapper Keepers as they do not fit in our desks; and please put child’s name on all supplies.

Grade 5

  • (3) composition notebooks
  • (1) 1-subject spiral notebook
  • (1)1 ½” 3 ring binder (not soft cover – durable – with clear plastic cover slip)
  • (5) pocket folders (please be sure to have at least one yellow, red, green, blue, purple) – Please NO clips/fasteners in the folders!
  • Durable homework folder of your choice
  • Pencil box/bag
  • Sharpened #2 pencils
  • Colored pencils or crayons
  • Markers
  • Erasers
  • (1) package of white lined paper (wide ruled)
  • (4) glue sticks
  • Dry erase markers & eraser (sock)
  • Scissors
  • (1) box of tissues
  • Headphones/Earbuds (for computers)
  • (1) photo of student doing something they enjoy (can be a solo photo or photo with friends, family, pets, etc.)
