AES gets on board the walking school bus

For four consecutive Fridays at the end of May and the beginning of June, Altamont Elementary School students, families, teachers and staff took a “walking school bus” to get to school.

A walking school bus is a group of students walking to school accompanied by one or more adults. AES students and families met at the village gazebo and walked through the village to school. Students were accompanied by staff members, including AES Principal Peter Brabant, who, in the spirit of the event, came dressed for the occasion.

AES students kicked off the day with physical activity, while gaining a new perspective of their community and enjoying some beautiful weather.
