Algebra Bridge Online Program 2018

Welcome to your Algebra Bridge Program online!

By now, you have completed your independent Algebra packet and have checked your answers with your current 7th grade teacher. Please make sure you have started a binder for your Summer Bridge work and include the Independent Packet in this binder.

Over the summer, you are expected to watch roughly two hours of pre-selected video instruction (material that covers topics you are missing due to acceleration). As you are watching the videos, you are to capture key ideas, write down sample problems, and list remaining questions on the note sheet. A hyperlink has been provided below for you to use to print out the “guided note sheet.” Please retain all “guided note sheets” in a binder to be referenced at the beginning of your 8th grade year.

The notes page can be accessed here.

You will be enrolled in an online program called Castle Learning starting July 6, 2018. You can not log in before July 6.

Getting started

Your username for Castle Learning will be your email address. When logging in for the first time, leave the password cell completely blank. You will be prompted to set a password the first time that you sign into the Castle Learning platform. Follow the instructions to setup your password and secret questions.

  • Go to and where it says Sign into Castle Learning online, type in the ID at the prompt.
  • Skip the password field.
  • Click the sign-in button.
  • Follow the steps to choose a password.

Please sign in and set your password as close to July 6 as possible to secure your account. Again, please note that you cannot log in before July 6. If you have trouble logging in or seeing assignments, please email or contact Mrs. Bisnett-Jenks at or call 518-456-6010 ext. 3089.

Please keep track of your user ID and the password you created. As you complete each video set, you will be expected to complete a quick assessment on those topics. Teachers, along with Mrs. Bisnett-Jenks, will be able to track your progress over the summer. Don’t wait until the last minute to start your Algebra Bridge Program!

Please note that the video lessons are NOT in Castle Learning. They are separate and the links can be found in the chart here.

Review each section notes and responses to prepare for quiz on material when you return in September.

Our expectations are for you to try your best. The material covered in these videos will be new to you, but for those who persevere, you will be better ready for the start of 8th grade. Be on the lookout for a cumulative review assignment to be given by your 8th grade teacher in September.

If you are struggling, we suggest that you make sure you ask questions when we return to school in the fall. Not asking questions can cause gaps in learning. Best of luck and we will see you in September!
