GCSD young artists represented at 2019 Empire State Plaza Art Exhibition; 100 pieces submitted

The GCSD recently submitted 100 pieces of art from four Guilderland elementary schools and the middle school for the 2019 Empire State Plaza Exhibition. The annual event is the only Capital Region exhibition for K-8 students and is an opportunity for students to showcase how their own art was inspired by artwork from the Empire State Plaza Collection.

The Empire State Plaza Collection consists of 92 works of Abstract Expressionist art that is displayed both in and around the Plaza. This year’s exhibition shared over 1,400 works from 17 surrounding Capital Region school districts and the GCSD was proud to be a part of it.
