GHS International Club Members visit One World Observatory and 9/11 Tribute Museum

Last week, members of the GHS International Club visited Manhattan where they visited the 9/11 Museum, the One World O

bservatory and took a boat cruise around the statue of Liberty.

“It was my, and several other students’, first time visiting the 9/11 memorials as well as the neighboring museum and One World Observatory. The experience was wildly illuminating. Every year, my teachers will facilitate some form of discourse about this horrific event, but it is a completely differe

nt experience being at the site of it. I know for me at least, going through the “Historical Exhibition” in the museum and being immersed in the media, artifacts and events of 9/11 was really powerful. We’re so fortunate to have had this opportunity.” – Ifeyinwa Ojukwu, GHS senior/International Club member
