Guilderland Sings! Choral Festival; concert set for May 22

On Wednesday, May 22, the GCSD is proud to host the annual spring music festival. This year,  the festival will feature the students of the Guilderland Choral Program in a combined concert performance with students from grades 5–12. This will be the culmination of a three day residency with Dr. José Daniel Flores-Caraballo, Choral Director (SUNY Albany, Albany Pro Musica).

Dr. Flores-Caraballo will be conducting clinics and workshops with students and teachers in the vocal ensembles at Farnsworth Middle School and Guilderland High School and fifth-graders across the district.  The residency will culminate with a combined performance with Dr. Flores-Caraballo and Guilderland vocal teachers conducting the selections.

The concert begins at 7 p.m. in the High School West Gym. This entire residency is underwritten by the Guilderland Music Parents and Friends Association [a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)]. Donations and sponsorships are welcome. We look forward to this inspiring musical experience! The concert is free and open to the public.
