LES first-graders help local shelter pets

This past December, LES first-grade students and staff welcomed the Guilderland Animal Shelter to share in a discussion about the role of a community animal shelter. The Guilderland Shelter discussed how they provide temporary housing and care to lost, strayed and injured cats and dogs until they’re adopted into a loving family.  In the spirit of giving, LES staff, students and family collaborated in collecting food, blankets, bedding and treats for local shelter animals. It was a fun and fur-tastic experience for all.
