Lily-Anne Green and Abdo Baraeya named Dutchmen of the Week for the week of May 6

Congratulations to Lily-Anne Green (Modified Track & Field) and Abdo Baraeya (Varsity Lacrosse) for earning DOW (Dutchmen of the Week) honors for the week of May 6.

Lily-Anne Green (Modified Track & Field)

Lily has improved so much this first season of modified track. This past Thursday, Lily had come in first place in both her heats of the 200 and 100. Aside from earning a spot in 1st place, she also PR´d in her 100 and 200. Lily has tried and succeeded in the throwing events. She has gone above and beyond in the shot put! Lily is also a hard worker and it shows in both practices and meets. Her positivity and friendliness shines through. We love having Lily being a part of the team and so happy that she gave mod. track a try.

Abdo Baraeya (Varsity Lacrosse)

Abdo puts in the work to make himself successful and the team better during and after practice. This year he has been a face off midfielder and a defensive midfielder and we needed to figure out a way to get him on the field more often. We moved him to Defense on Monday and it was an instant match. His first game action was on Tuesday vs Saratoga and he played a huge role in that win. He also played a great game in the win vs Columbia to help the Boys Lacrosse team have a 2 win and 0 loss week this week.
