Nominating petition to run for GCSD Board of Education due April 17

Candidates wishing to seek election to the Guilderland Central School District Board of Education must submit a nominating petition, which can be obtained by emailing the District Clerk at

Three seats, each carrying three-year terms beginning July 1, 2023, are up for election on May 16, 2023.

Nominating petitions require 96 signatures of qualified district voters to run. They must be submitted to the District Clerk no later than April 17, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. Candidates must also complete and submit a Board of Education Candidate Profile form.

To run for the school board, candidates must be at least 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen, a qualified voter in the school district and be able to read and write. They must also be residents of the school district continuously for one year prior to the vote date.
