From Nov. 14-23, the Guilderland Central School District ran a ThoughtExchange to gather input from GCSD students, staff, families and community members. The ThoughtExchange had 2,754 participants, 1,835 thoughts and 182,882 ratings. Thank you to all who took part.
Asked “As we plan for the next school year, what are the most important things our district needs to think about in order to support all students?”, stakeholder groups provided their thoughts and then rated the thoughts of others. Overall, top themes from the exchange were school meals, inclusive holidays and time off, learning resources and technology, safety and employee benefits. Click here to view the summary report.
The ThoughtExchange was launched to gather feedback and perspective from the GCSD community that will be helpful in planning for the 2023-24 school year. District administrators and board of education members will use the results of the exchange to inform their budget priorities to fully support GCSD students.
Those who did not participate in the ThoughtExchange but would like to provide input are welcome to do so at a board of education meeting. Information about board of education meetings and how to register to provide public comment can be found here, on the district website.
Thank you to all who took part in this ThoughtExchange for sharing your insights and feedback!
