Technology repairs and support for students

Please visit the GCSD Home Learning Support page to find some general resources and frequently asked questions that may help parents and students with remote learning during school closure.

Students can also reach out to the technology department for assistance with devices and support for GCSD Chromebooks, websites being blocked or access to extensions.

We will accept devices for repair and/or exchange at Farnsworth Middle School and Guilderland High School. It’s important to adhere to the process outlined below:

How to get tech assistance:

  1. Complete this form to submit your IT Help Desk request. Please complete all the fields of the form.
  2. Make sure to provide other ways to contact you just in case you cannot read your school email.

Please note that not all technology issues can be resolved remotely and all efforts will be made to resolve any issues.

How to get support for your device:

  1. A parent or student must submit a request for support via the Student Device Repair/Assistance Form.
  2. A Guilderland Computer Technician will be in contact with you.  If it is determined that the device will need to be collected for repair and/or exchange is needed, the technician will help to arrange that.  Again, it is very important that we try to maintain safety by observing safe health practices. Please do not show up to either site without being asked to do so by someone from the Guilderland Technology Department.
