On May 16, 2023, residents of the Guilderland Central School District will vote on the proposed $119,772,194 budget for the 2023-24 school year. A separate proposition will appear on the ballot to purchase school buses and a maintenance vehicle at a total cost of $1,206,000. Voters will also elect three members to serve on the board of education. To vote in the school budget and board of education election, voters must meet eligibility requirements and be registered.
Voter eligibility and locations
To vote, you must be at least 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen and a resident of the Guilderland Central School District for at least 30 days prior to the vote. You must register and vote at the elementary school in the residential zone where you live.
Voter registration information
Voter registration is required in the Guilderland Central School District. If you are not registered with the school district or the county, you must do so before the vote. You can register to vote with the Albany County Board of Elections during their normal business hours.
Voters may also register at the Guilderland Central School District on the following days and times:

- 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at home elementary school
- 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the district office
- May 8, 2023

The GCSD district office is located at 8 School Road, Guilderland Center.
On May 16, polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the elementary school in the voter’s residential zone. Qualified voters who wish to vote by absentee ballot must submit an application to the district clerk at least seven days before the vote if the ballot is to be mailed, or the day before if the ballot is to be picked up at the district office.
