If you want to increase your knowledge of dance as a performing art, Dance Styles is the course for you. Through movement study and the use of videotapes and movies, students will explore major dance styles: ballet, modern dance, folk, and jazz. (No previous dance experience necessary.) This course is technique oriented.

The foundation of Focus is the Family group. Each Family consists of a maximum of 12 students and one Focus teacher/ advisor. The Family is a group process, which utilizes the peer group to encourage positive youth development. The Family causes students to recognize and deal with their reasons for being disenchanted with school.
