Each week, we highlight two student-athletes (modified, mod 9, frosh, JV or varsity level) for athletic accomplishments based on the following criteria:
- The athlete should have made a significant impact on a contest within the nomination time frame, which is the week prior to selection; or
- The athlete must have shown excellent leadership, sportsmanship, noticeable improvement or effort, community service, and/or other notable traits.
Congratulations to Reed McCutcheon (Varsity Lacrosse) and Dean Cole (JV Baseball) for earning DOW (Dutchmen of the Week) honors for the week of April 27th.
Reed McCutcheon (Varsity Lacrosse)
Reed is a constant presence on the team and an often unrecognized contributor. As a defender, her work does not always show up in statistics, but her impact is consistent.
She embraces her role without concern for personal recognition, approaching each game with focus and a team-first mindset. Reed plays every minute of every game, and her consistency and defensive awareness provide steady, reliable support.
Her quiet contributions make a significant difference, and any team would be fortunate to have a player like Reed.

Dean Cole (JV Baseball)
Dean has been a key contributor to the offense while also demonstrating leadership since the first week of practice. He is a supportive teammate in the dugout, and his effort consistently translates to performance on the field.
Over the weekend, Dean recorded eight hits in three games, including a walk-off RBI single that secured a win against a strong Columbia team.
