Nov. 30: Positive COVID-19 Cases at WES and FMS

The district learned about two positive COVID-19 cases yesterday and today.

  • The first positive case involves an individual at Westmere Elementary School. All individuals have been contacted and advised on the need to quarantine. In-person instruction has continued as planned.
  • The second case is an individual at Farnsworth Middle School. Based on preliminary information from the Albany County Department of Health, no other individuals from FMS need to quarantine at this time.

We continue to work closely with the Albany County Department of Health and follow their guidance each time our district has a positive case. As a reminder, each of our school buildings are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected each evening in accordance with guidance from the CDC and the New York State Department of Health.

Please reach out to your child’s principal if you have any questions.
