ParentSquare information for community members
ParentSquare is a way to receive email news from the district and its schools.
The district began utilizing ParentSquare in the 2023-24 school year for emergency notifications, such as school closings/delays and emergency situations in schools and has since expanded its use to include school and district-level messages.

I Love My Park Day Volunteer Event, May 4, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
I Love My Park Day, on Saturday, May 4, 9 a.m.-12 p.m., is a volunteer event available to all ages. This event helps to clean up our parks and restore our trails, as well as being a rewarding volunteer opportunity! Event sites are Ann Lee Pond, Heritage Ln. Albany; Lawson Lake, 26 Lower Camp Rd. Feura Bush and Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail, 722 South Pearl St, Albany. Volunteers are needed and can register through our registration portal. For more information, see the attached flyer.
Spring into Girl Scouts, April 13, 10 a.m.
Open to all PK-5 girls interested in joining Girl Scouts and their caregivers, this event is held at Camp Is Sho Da in East Greenbush. Activities will include games, arts and crafts and more! Dress for all weather and bring a lunch. See the attached flyer for registration information.
Sci-Tech Summer Boot Camp
Not the typical summer camp, Sci-Tech summer boot camp has all new activities, same amazing advanced learning! With only eight students per class, this camp for children 6-13 years old is taught by master educators. STEAMwhiz‘s advanced Minecraft-based STEM summer camp is both intensive and fun, providing students with experiences that go above and beyond the traditional academic setting. Host a foreign scholar
ASSE International Student Exchange Programs is in need of twenty families to host foreign exchange students, ages 15 to 18, coming to spend 10 months in the United States. These students come with their own spending money and health insurance. ASSE International Student Exchange Programs invites you and your family to join in this memorable and valued cultural experience. Donations being accepted in honor of Philip L. Rabadi
Organized by the St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation, donations are now being accepted to honor Philip L. Rabadi, a 2004 Guilderland High School graduate. Killed in April 2022, Philip was a beloved and talented surgical physician assistant at St. Peter’s Hospital. Contributions made in his name will go towards the goal of naming the second floor surgical waiting room in Philip’s name. GHS Weekend Backpack Program, Annual Fundraiser
The GHS Weekend Backpack Program runs from October through June and provides supplemental nutrition for students in need on the weekends, when school meals are not available.

Drama Kids Programs
In-person and online classes are fun, engaging, and filled with activities that will grow your child’s acting abilities, and help them develop the life skills they’ll need to navigate the changing world we live in.
Drama Kids is committed to safely reopening live classes in Guilderland, Colonie, Delmar & Clifton Park. Class size is limited and taught under federally-approved COVID-19 guidelines.

Guilderland Central School District Scholarship Fund
Each year, the district awards several scholarships to deserving high school seniors based on criteria such as academic area of interest, athletic area of interest, and community service. Learn more about the scholarship fund.
