New York State Path Through History event

Saturday, June 16 from 1 to 4 p.m.

The NYS Path Through History activities are a time for locations throughout the state to highlight their historic gems. The Guilderland Historical Society, along with the Guilderland Garden Club, are once again teaming up to have an open house and offer tours of the Mynderse-Frederick House and gardens to the public. Tours of the Historic Cobblestone Schoolhouse will also be included. For information or directions, call 518-861-8582.

Karner Kids Film Festival

Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 6:30 p.m.

Calling all junior producers and directors! The Albany Pine Bush is excited to announce the upcoming Karner Kids Film Festival for all kids ages 10-17. Kids are invited to create short films about the Albany Pine Bush. Films could feature wildlife, plants, history, personal experiences or other Pine Bush-inspired themes.  Submissions must be received by 4 p.m. on July 30, 2018.  The festival will be held on Wednesday Aug.  29, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Come view films accepted into the Karner Kids Film Festival, explore Pine Bush activities and enjoy light refreshments. Guilderland Central School District Scholarship Fund

Each year, the district awards several scholarships to deserving high school seniors based on criteria such as academic area of interest, athletic area of interest, and community service. Learn more about the scholarship fund.
