Today, the district learned of two new positive COVID-19 cases. One case is connected to Guilderland Elementary and the other to Pine Bush Elementary. The principals from those schools are following Albany County Department of Health guidelines to determine who needs to quarantine, and contacting those individuals.
Because the Albany County Department of Health (ACDOH) recently issued new quarantine guidelines based on proximity and other considerations, some cohorts of the Pine Bush Elementary 2nd-grade will transition to remote-only instruction tomorrow, Feb. 24 until further clarification from the ACDOH is received. PBES Principal Chris Sanita will be in touch with those affected families tomorrow with updates of when those students can return to in-person learning.
Board Diversity & Equity Committee Meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m.
The district’s Equity and Diversity Committee, a standing committee of the Board of Education, will hold a meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. This meeting will be livestreamed on the GHS Media YouTube page and the Committee will be taking public comments.
