Twelve Guilderland Central School District students have been honored by the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) All-State, with seven selected for a prestigious music ensemble in Rochester
Earning a spot in an All-State ensemble is a top distinction for student musicians in New York State. On Dec. 4, seven GHS students joined exceptionally gifted musicians from across the state for four days filled with rehearsals and performances. This exciting event will culminate in concerts at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center and the Eastman Theater at the Eastman School of Music on Dec. 6-7. We wish them the best of luck in their performances tomorrow and are confident they will represent Guilderland with outstanding excellence.

Each year, thousands of student musicians in New York compete for a spot in the prestigious NYSSMA Conference All-State Music Ensembles. Admission is based on scores from the previous spring’s NYSSMA Solo Evaluation Festival. Students perform for a certified adjudicator who assesses every aspect of their performance.
Congratulations to all the musicians, their teachers, and parents on this remarkable achievement!
