Congratulations to Addison Vellekoop (Varsity Girls Indoor Track) and Eric Ryan (Varsity Swimming & Diving) for earning DOW (Dutchmen of the Week) honors for the week of December 12th.
Addison Vellekoop (Varsity Girls Soccer)
Addison has had one of the best track meets we have seen in a long time. She helped the girls indoor track team win the team title at the Bishop Loughlin games with a strong performance. She won the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:55.70. This was a school record by over 10 seconds and is currently ranked NY #1 and USA #3 for her age. She then anchored the 4 x 800 with a time of 2:21.17. The team won and set a school record of 9:54.72.
Eric Ryan (Varsity Swimming & Diving)
Eric had an outstanding meet on December 13th @ Niskayuna. He won the 200 Individual Medley with the fastest time in Section 2 of 2:01.59 and won the 100 Breastroke with a state qualifying time of 1:00.31. Eric helped the Guilderville team pick up their first victory of the season. Eric’s leadership and mentorship for his teammates has helped raise the bar for Guilderville swimming!
