Dec. 3: One Positive COVID-19 Case

Today we learned that a districtwide employee has tested positive for COVID-19. This case does not present a risk of exposure to individuals in the school community, and no one from our schools needs to quarantine as a result.

Please know that the health and safety of our students and staff are vitally important to us as we strive to continue to provide in-person instruction. We work closely with the Albany County Department of Health to follow their guidance each time our district has a positive case. We also thoroughly clean and disinfect all school buildings each evening. Most importantly, we follow and encourage COVID-19 prevention safety procedures and protocols.

Thank you for your partnership and diligence in following safety measures outside of school. By working together we can safely keep our schools open for in-person instruction. If you haven’t had a chance, please take a moment to review our plans for micro-cluster zones.

Sincerely,

Dr. Marie Wiles
Superintendent of Schools
