FMS Butterfly Station is looking for students in grades 6 and 7 to volunteer

Farnsworth Middle School is looking for motivated students in grades 6 and 7 who are interested in ecology and service-learning for the summer.

Students in the program lead guided tours, maintain the gardens, educate others and, most importantly, raise butterflies for our butterfly house! It is an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy working outside and are interested in and enthusiastic about ecology and teaching others.

Two Summer Sessions

  • Session 1 runs from July 19 – 30
  • Session 2 runs from August 2 – 13

Both sessions will run Monday – Friday from 9:30 am – 1:00 pm.

Apply to Volunteer by May 5

Space in the program is limited. Please keep in mind that this is a FULL TWO-WEEK COMMITMENT. Sign up for the session where the student can attend the ENTIRE time.

Students interested in participating should complete and submit this form no later than Wednesday, May 5. We will notify students through email of their official acceptance and session time.

Only Guilderland students with an @guilderlandschools.net Google account are eligible to apply.

If you have any questions, please contact Molly Fanning at fanningm@guilderlandschools.net.
