On Wednesday, March 30, 27 Guilderland High School students from the upper-level French classes said “bonjour” to French-studying students from across New York State at “French Language and Culture Day”. Hundreds of high school students gathered on the SUNY Albany campus to expand their knowledge about French culture and share ideas with each other.

Throughout the day, GHS students networked with other high school students in attendance and discussed various aspects of French culture and learned customs such as traditional folk dances from France and Quebec. In addition, students were able to engage in conversation with native speakers from Togo, France, Quebec, the Ivory Coast, Algeria and Ottawa.
