Budget Q & A session, Tuesday, Mar. 15

On Tuesday, March 15, at 7:00 p.m., the district will host a question and answer session on the budget. Members of the Guilderland school community may submit questions by emailing superintendent@guilderlandschools.net or are welcome to attend this workshop session in the Large Group Instruction (LGI) room at Guilderland High School. Questions from the in-person audience are welcome.

Change to vaccine requirement for students participating in high-risk sports

In September, the GCSD Board of Education passed a resolution adopting the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines requiring student-athletes participating in high-risk sports to be vaccinated or participate in weekly COVID-19 testing, based on their age. At the time, the decision was reached due to the high level of community transmission of COVID-19 in Albany County.

Due to the current low community level designation in Albany County, the Board of Education announced on Tuesday that vaccinations or weekly COVID-19 testing is not required for student-athletes to participate in high-risk sports for the spring season.
