Budget Q & A session, Tuesday, Mar. 15

On Tuesday, March 15, at 7:00 p.m., the district will host a question and answer session on the budget. Members of the Guilderland school community may submit questions by emailing or are welcome to attend this workshop session in the Large Group Instruction (LGI) room at Guilderland High School. Questions from the in-person audience are welcome.

Change to vaccine requirement for students participating in high-risk sports

In September, the GCSD Board of Education passed a resolution adopting the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines requiring student-athletes participating in high-risk sports to be vaccinated or participate in weekly COVID-19 testing, based on their age. At the time, the decision was reached due to the high level of community transmission of COVID-19 in Albany County.

Due to the current low community level designation in Albany County, the Board of Education announced on Tuesday that vaccinations or weekly COVID-19 testing is not required for student-athletes to participate in high-risk sports for the spring season.
